Professor Justin Jewitt – Executive Chairman
Justin was previously Chief Executive for the Nestor Healthcare Group and has been involved in home care for over 12 years. He is passionate about providing quality services that are great value for money and advises a variety of organisations on health and social care issues.
Debbie Neill – Chief Executive
I joined Home Choice Care on 10th November as the Chief Executive of the company, and feel extremely honoured to be here.
Home Choice is a great
company with a real sense of pride and commitment running through the whole organisation. We all want to support our service users in the best possible way in order to ensure safety, dignity, choice and the ability to live at home for as long as possible.
I have had a great career to date and in particular have gained a whole lot of experience in the homecare business over the last 5 and a half years. I was, previously, the Managing Director of Careforce Group plc which is the 3rd largest homecare company in the UK. I was lucky enough to see Careforce through 5 years of phenomenal growth and development from a handful of branches in 2003 to 51 by November this year. The focus, in Careforce, was always on the quality of the service, managed through the training and support of the workforce. I have learnt a great deal along the way and intend to use that experience and knowledge to make Home Choice even better and bigger than it currently is.
James Hussey – Finance Director (ACA)
James is a qualified Chartered accountant who has held a number of financial management positions
across a variety of business sectors. Prior to Home Choice Care, James was Associate Director of
Finance and Company Secretary for AIM listed medical devices business Tissue Science Laboratories
plc.
During his career he has also had first hand experience in venture capital funding in his
role as Finance Manager for Entranet Limited, a software development start up and gained a wealth of experience during his time at KPMG.
Trish Lowis-Smith – IT Systems Manager
Trish has worked in the healthcare field since 1990, running a branch of
just over 200 employees for an Emergency Doctor's service. Over the last 17
years Trish has been in a number of roles from Management, Marketing,
Recruitment Consultancy, Sales and Human Resources.
She became interested in IT about 12 years ago, when a new Automatic
Call Distribution telephony system was installed at her place of work – and hasn't looked back since!
IT is one area which excites Trish and she enjoys the challenge of applying
the latest technology to enable operational effectiveness. There is nothing
Trish enjoys more than making other's lives easier by using systems to their
maximum.
Patsy Daeche – Marketing & Communications Manager
I started working for Justin almost 13 years ago. In this role I gained varied experience in contracting, marketing, event management and anything else that needed doing. My role has grown in the last two years and I am now marketing and communications manager. A role which I find
exciting and challenging.
Julie Green – Regional Care Director
I am originally from New Zealand and started work here over 15 years ago as Registered Nurse, and then I moved on to work in Health and Social Care as a Care Coordinator. I then worked for 7 years managing an office which specialised in Australasian Nurses and Care Workers and went on to become the Area Manager overseeing 13 branches and several large NHS contracts. In addition to this, I became increasingly involved in Community Care and Private Home care. I have spent a lot of time working with specific ethnic client groups and have a passion for meeting the diverse cultural, social and religious needs of the individuals in our communities. I am also passionate about training and development and ensuring that both care workers and staff have the skills to continue to provide the best possible care for our clients.
