Care Worker of the Month - December 2008

79 Year old, works full time. Sheila Goodbody works 40 to 50 hours per week. Sheila has just been awarded Care Worker of the Month, for Home Choice Care Ltd, St Ives. Asked her why she continues to work so hard she said “I really enjoy the job and being there for the service users, it makes my day seeing them happy, plus it keeps me busy”!

Justin Jewitt, Chairman presented Sheila with a cheque and some flowers.

Home Choice Care is a 3 star Home Care provider with branches in Essex, Gravesend, Kent, Cambridge ad Sheffield.

Sheila was born in Somersham and now lives in St.Ives with her brother. She has a nursing background and used to live in Australia with her late husband who was a photographer.

Sheila joined the company in 2003 and works full time, plus she is always willing to help out at the last minute and we know that we can always rely on her in time of a need. Sheila is sometimes older than the service users she looks after, thus creating a rapport with them and manages task, others sometimes can't. She is a spritely lady who enjoys socialising and has a wonderful rapport with many of the older service users.
