Tele Care
Choose Independence and Safety
More than 95% of older people want to remain independently and living in their own home. But doing so safely can be a challenge, particularly if frail or forgetful. Family members, even if they live nearby, cannot be there all the time. For the first time there is a solution. Home Choice Tele Care helps older people maintain safe,
independent living 24 hours a day and can identify emerging health problems. It can raise an alert to potential emergencies and enables people to age with dignity and
privacy in the place they know best - their home.
Innovation and Privacy
The key to the innovative system Home Choice Tele Care is the
wireless sensors that are strategically placed in the person’s home. Small and discrete, these sensors only detect motion - there is no video or audio monitoring. The data is the collated from the motion detector which will create a baseline of the person’s individual activities of daily living. An alert will be made if there are significant changes.
The Power to be Proactive
Changes in the daily living activities are an important indicator of emerging health conditions. Home Choice Tele Care can track these changes 24 hours a day, catch potential problems early and facilitate proactive care.
Peace of Mind
Designated family members and carers can check in from anywhere with internet access using a secure password protected service - from work, home or whilst travelling. The information is available at a glance - coloured with indicators which show normal (green), possible emerging health problems (amber) and immediate care needed (red).
Emerging Alerts
Urgent red alerts can be directed to emergency operators who will call the person and, if needed, their designated family members, carers or the emergency services.
Home Care Tele Care will automatically alert you if:-
- There are lower than normal activity levels
- There is a reduction on meal preparation activity
- There are changes to night time bathroom visits
- There has been a fall or accident in the bathroom
- The person did not exit the bathroom
- The person has wandered out of the house
- The ambient room temperature is high and low
- There has been a power cut or a telephone fault
How it works...

- Motion sensors track movement
- The base station calls our computer system
- Our computer analyses daily activity levels and automatically generates alerts.
- Alerts are reviewed and approriate responses initiated.
Supporting Dementia
Older people with dementia are able to remain living at home for longer when regular and appropriate care is made available. Often, however, people may not be aware of changes to their health or are unable to articulate their concerns. Tele Care can generate alerts for urgent events and for significant changes in the person’s usual patterns of daily living that could easily signify an emerging health problem. It is especially suitable as there are no pendants to wear or buttons to push. Tele Care enables professionals to make objective assessments and to prioritise and target services, thus improving the quality and efficiency of the care they provide.
Prevention is Better that Cure
Installing Tele Care before a crisis occurs helps to promote confidence. Maximise independence and enhance quality of life. Costing less than a week in a care facility, Tele Care provides an affordable alternative to more costly long term options.
